The Bianchi Specialissima Comp was developed for riders who want the feel of a high-level all-around road bike at a reasonable price. It delivers a high level of speed, aerodynamics, and lightweight efficiency making it perfect for pushing the pace on your daily ride or taking on a Gran Fondo. Modern road courses are about much more than just a climbing stage or a sprint stage. Bikes need to be just as fast on the descent as on the climb and just as powerful on a flat. The Specialissima Comp has evolved with today’s road racing to create an all-around road bike. There is no need to switch out your bike to accommodate a specific type or road. The Specialissima Comp can do it all and feels great doing it.
As always, the Bianchi Specialissima Comp comes in with a lightweight design to help you fly up your next climb. Fully built up, it comes in below the 8kg threshold. It uses a full carbon frame to achieve the lightest weight possible while shaving off material compared to previous models. Obviously, less material used equals less weight. The Comp version uses a lower modulus carbon and does not feature Countervail, helping to greatly reduce the price while still delivering excellent performance. With less than a kilogram of weight added compared to the Pro version, you can be certain that the Specialissima Comp delivers the low weight performance you need.
Lightweight no longer comes at the price of aerodynamics. The Bianchi Specialissima Comp has aero features that keep it moving on flat courses. The seatpost uses this same D-shape as other parts of the bike to manage wind in the most efficient way possible. The Comp does not include the integrated cockpit found on the more expensive models but is fully capable of adding it later on if you choose to upgrade. This version of the Specialissima Comp is equipped with a Shimano Ultegra Di2 12-speed groupset for high-level and affordable electronic shifting. The Bianchi Specialissima Comp is a one-bike system for all types of performance cycling.
