The “Made in Italy” ABUS helmet family is growing. The PowerDome MIPS comes from the same ABUS-owned Italian production facility where our other top road helmets are produced.
The most striking feature of the PowerDome MIPS is it's weight, coming in at 260g for a size medium. Fit is easily dialed in with the Zoom Ace adjustment system, and the 10 air inlets and 7 air outlets ensure you keep cool when climbing a mountain pass or riding open gravel roads on the hottest of days. The sophisticated ventilation is also supplemented by a sleek air scoop on the helmet: modeled after the PowerDome of high-performance cars. On a gravel adventure, fighting against the wind or a casual ride with friends, the PowerDome MIPS brings the Italian lifestyle to every ride. This keeps the focus on having fun on two wheels. - Ponytail Fit: thanks to the opening in the height-adjustable adjustment system, the helmet is also suitable for long hairstyles such as ponytails, buns, or braids
- Mips layer: thin plastic shell located between the inner padding and the energy-absorbing shell of the helmet to counteract rotational forces in the event of a fall
- Zoom™ Spin adjustment system: rotary wheel at the back of the head for individual adjustment of the helmet to the head size
- Stitched straps: for optimum aerodynamics, the straps are sewn and therefore do not require any strap dividers – this means they fit particularly snugly and do not flap while riding
- Comfort Pads: soft padded inserts for optimum comfort, attached to the helmet with Velcro
- Removable, washable pads: can be removed and washed by hand or replaced if necessary
- Push-in buckle: for safe and practical handling, the straps are fitted with a classic chin lock (three-pronged connection) for opening and closing
- In-mould process: production process in which the inner cushioning material made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) is foamed directly into the outer shell made of polycarbonate (PC) – this creates a durable and robust connection
