If you need to replace the crank arm fixing bolt for your Shimano Hollowtech II crankset, please keep in mind that these genuine Shimano replacement parts are specific to the model crankset you have. While there may be some crossover with some options, you cannot mix and match the alloy versions with the composite versions.

This bolt requires a tool such as the specific Park BBT 10.2, or the secondary tool on the BBT-9 with a an oversized torx-style interface. Please keep in mind that this fixing bolt is merely the bearing pre-load adjustment when installing the non-drive Hollowtech crankarm and has a light force torque spec. Please follow all Shimano crankset installation instructions to ensure safe, proper use and long bearing life.
